TIS - TELHADO INTELIGENTE SHINGLE (SHINGLE INTELLIGENT ROOF) HAS ARRIVED

Finally in the market a rationalized roofing system for home projects.

Market leader companies in their actuation segments designed the development of a product that was missing in the market. This is TIS - Telhado Inteligente Shingle (Shingle Intelligent Roof), a full roofing system rationalized for home projects and horizontal joint domains, from design to execution.

As a function of the use of shingle tiles, TIS is an extremely versatile system as it enables varied architectonical concepts, in addition to being lighter (tile weights 10 to 13 kg/m2), and enabling bending freedom with the use of 10 to 90-degree angles.

These features generate more rational in addition to creative designs with the use, for example, of DWELLING MEZZANINE, where there was only a large "room for water reservoir" before.

An 8-ton/100 m2 load is relieved from the structure in relation to the traditional systems. As a consequence, the structural questioning of all resistance, from the beams and pillars, to foundations, and passing through slabs.

Each element quality, allied to proper design and execution techniques, enable assuring the roof a higher than 30 years useful life.

The system comprises:

TILES: SHINGLE asphalt tiles in Brazil are imported from the American OWENS CORNING by VIAPOL. They are coated with a ceramic granule and may be two-type: Common and AR (or FR). "AR" type is copper-oxide impregnated that inhibits development of algae and fungi, very important in climates such as the one in Brazil.

Aesthetically unique, SHINGLE tiles are treated against UV-ray attack, providing higher useful life to roof and keeping it like new for a longer time. They provide a better waterproofing for roofing, do not crack, do not slide, in addition to supporting up to 150-km/h winds.

UNDER-ROOFING: TYVEK under-roofing, produced by bicentennial DU PONT (and distributed in Brazil by VIAPOL), is a high-density polyethylene blanket produced with leading edge technology (factories in the USA and Europe). It has as main feature being waterproof, but allowing passage of in excess vapor. By making environment healthy, free from mites, fungi and mold, TYVEK is also recyclable, non-toxic, resistant and does not propagates fire.

STRUCTURAL PLYWOOD: SHINGLE FORM plywood is produced by THOMASI with 5 reforest wood venners, 12-mm depth, phenolic gluing, treated with TANALITH - with 30-year warranty against termites or rottenness - and complies with PS 1-07 certificate (approved by TECO for structural use in the USA and Europe).

WOODEN STRUCTURE: Tanned wood produced by PRESERVAM, it is ecologically correct (originated from reforesting), and autoclave-treated (vacuum-pressure process) with TANALITH CCA. This is a SAYERLACK (RENNER Group) product, which gives a 30-year warranty against termite attack or rottenness.

METAL CONNECTORS: Nail-type connectors for node joining in structural elements (shears and trusses) manufactured by KOFAR ISOBUILD according to the Brazilian Standard on Wood and Wooden Structures NBR 7190/96 in ASTM-A446 grade-C structural steel.

DESIGN: Optimized for the system by ESTRUTUREX (a structural calculation company), in compliance with the Brazilian Standard on Wood and Wooden Structures NBR 7190/96, it results in savings of at least 30% of wood volume. ART of the design is supplied.
